Another exciting addition to this year’s rich Colours programme. The American singer-songwriter, best known for collaborating with his sister Billie Eilish, will showcase his solo work accompanied by a band. He began releasing his music around the same time he started receiving his first awards for his production and songwriting. Among other awards, he currently holds two Oscars, two Golden Globes, and 10 Grammy Awards.<\/p>\n\n

Finneas O\u2019Connell debuted in 2019 with the EP Blood Harmony and released his first studio album, Optimist, two years later. Last year, he introduced his second full-length album, For Cryin\u2019 Out Loud!, which he is currently touring with.\u00a0After Australia and the USA, he will head to Europe in the spring, where most of the stops are already sold out.<\/strong>He is currently accompanied on stage by a five-member band, whose members contributed to his latest album.<\/p>\n\n

\"Finneas<\/figure>\n\n

Finneas’ solo work, unlike his collaboration in the sibling duo, focuses more on working with live instruments and a band-oriented approach, allowing him to develop personal messages and ideas with his fellow musicians. His latest album, For Cryin\u2019 Out Loud!, was largely created during live sessions. He also gives space to the band on stage, allowing him to focus on singing. However, he still accompanies himself most of the time on guitar or piano.<\/p>\n\n

FINNEAS will perform at Colours of Ostrava in his Czech premiere. The only time he visited the country was in 2019 during Billie Eilish\u2019s world tour, when he accompanied her in Prague. Currently, the siblings are on separate tours, and their joint performances are rather rare \u2013\u2060\u2060\u2060\u2060\u2060\u2060 such as at the most recent Grammy Awards or the FireAid charity event, where they played three acoustic versions of songs from Billie Eilish\u2019s repertoire.<\/p>\n\n

The Ostrava show will be part of the festival’s second day, which already features performances by\u00a0Iggy Pop, Justice, Noga Erez, and Calin. Additionally, the 22nd edition of the festival will showcase The Chainsmokers, Sting, Shaggy, Snow Patrol, DPR IAN, Jung Jaeil with the Jan\u00e1\u010dek Philharmonic Ostrava, Sofi Tukker, and Alvaro Soler.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n
